Effective date: October 1, 2026.
DebtPayoffCalc is run by Tim, an independent developer, as a personal project. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
Free to use
The calculators, guides and spreadsheet are free. You don’t need an account. You’re welcome to link to any page and to share your own results. Please don’t copy the site’s pages wholesale or try to disrupt it, for example by flooding it with automated requests.
Estimates, not advice
Every result is an estimate based on the rules described on the methodology page and the numbers you enter. Your lender’s figures will differ, because real accounts involve daily interest, fees, rate changes and new charges that the calculators don’t model.
Nothing on this site is financial, legal or tax advice. Before you make a decision about your debts, check the numbers with your lender and, if you need advice, talk to a qualified professional. The disclaimer has more on this.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” A lot of testing goes into the math, but there is no promise that every result is free of errors, that every page is current, or that the site will always be online.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Tim is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its results, including financial decisions you make based on an estimate. You use the calculators at your own risk. If you find an error, please report it so it can be fixed.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to other websites, such as government sources. Those sites are run by others, and we aren’t responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Changes
These terms may change. When they do, this page and its effective date will be updated. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
